      Not going to lie. Fair proud to see the Irish flag beside his name at the fp1 result. Fair play to the lad.

      Really good effort from Dunne, went about as well as it could have.

      Great session from Dunne, showed he belongs there.

      Also props to McLaren for the run plan, really helped him gain confidence over the session.

      Really mature debut. Looked very comfortable in the car and zero mistakes. Very impressive!

      (I know he’s an Offaly man – it’s a joke us Leitrim drivers have when we go to Donegal they’re mad for driving fast)

      Anyone coming in and seeing this post – the young lad spent most of the first half of FP1 in the garage without a lap under the belt.

      Then went balls to the wall and put it P4 when finally unleashed on the track.

      Astounding.

      P4, lack of track running time, and goes P4 on one of the early laps when finally taking the track.

      Unbelievable effort from him, clearly a seriously talented driver who will make the step up to F1.

      But it also highlights how good that McLaren car is, would be interesting to see how some of the other drivers would get on in it. Would hazard a guess that Verstappen would win every race by about 20 seconds in it.

      They might aswell drop Piastri for the rest of the season as second driver he hasn’t been good enough and stealing points off Norris 👀

      Slow start but very impressive session overall in fairness to him. Glad they let him loose, for a while I thought they weren’t going to let him have a proper lash at it
