    Grazie in anticipo!

it’s really stupid, you sign a contract and they can modify in the starting year due to some kind of variable which they calculate to make this price possible. I had the same but my policy only went up by 30 CHF with Swica

It would help to read the law …

Those 100.- are due because your GF moved here but took longer than 3 months to get health insurance

Did she get health insurance more than 3 months after arriving in Switzerland? Art 5 Abs. 2 is about surcharge if you got health insurance too late. It’s not “just” a Concordia thing but decided at the federal level.

KVG (health insurance law) article 5, paragraph 2:

I dont know if the 100chf surcharge is normal in your region but it seems you registered late for the insurance. You should call them and ask why they deemed you late.

    5. ChatGPT translated it and says it’s a 100 chf fine for registering late (3 months). Can’t help beyond that as I haven’t made my move to Switzerland yet. just lurking here to learn and figured I’d share what ChatGPT told me when I had it translate the invoice.

The reason for the surcharge can be found in the KVG law, Art. 5, Abs. 2. It looks like your girlfriend didn’t got the insurance (which is mandatory) right away when she moved to Switzerland. The 100 CHF are kind of a fee for the time she was not insured.
