How in the name of god does it cost €1m per unit of social housing? As much as these houses are needed I can understand the plug being pulled on this.

It’s OK, homeless numbers approaching 20,000. These plebs don’t deserve homes. According to FF/FG.

Obviously expensive but surely we have the money and would be better to just get it done instead of now probably waiting 5+ years for them to build anything (plus it’s not going to be any cheaper to build in future than it is now)

Stop the press, affordable homes are unaffordable.

The true cost of the big Irish game of musical chairs is becoming apparent. We can’t afford to live in our country anymore, we are literally being priced out the door.

We spend a billion a year on HAP and have nothing to show for it. That doesn’t even get into actual homelessness response charges.

Not sure it makes sense to pull the plug on houses.

      Proper order.
What about the people who cant afford to buy and dont qualify for a council house.
When it comes to public money there always the attitude of ” just get it done “.
