Richard – il cane che ha salvato la vita del suo proprietario durante l’enorme attacco missilistico della Russia – è stato trovato sicuro e sano! Yorkie è stato trovato grazie a uno sforzo di ricerca internazionale!

The 14-year-old boy, Oleksii, lived in a nine-story apartment building in the Solomianskyi district that was hit by a russian missile and collapsed, killing most people inside. Just moments before the explosion, the dog got scared and ran off, and the boy chased after him – which ultimately saved his life.

The story was shared on Facebook by the boy’s grandmother, Kateryna. Turns out, a Ukrainian woman named Iryna, who lives in Scotland, helped locate the missing dog. In one of the online groups, she saw a post by a man who had found a Yorkie near some garages. She compared the photo to Richard and contacted Kateryna. Kateryna immediately called the man who had found the dog.

“Richard recognized his ‘dad’ and jumped for joy –  but not immediately, as if he couldn’t believe it. There were tears in the little one’s eyes. My grandson had to pet him for a few minutes before the dog snapped out of his frozen state. When he finally came to life, he immediately leapt into loving arms. A few minutes later, I received a photo of the two lucky ones with a short caption: ‘Mine!’” — wrote Kateryna, the grandma of the 14-year old boy, on Facebook.

She had previously shared how the dog saved her grandson Oleksii during russia’s massive missile strike on June 17:

“My Oleksii was standing in the stairwell on the first floor. He was about to go back into the apartment when, after an explosion nearby, the dog broke free and ran off. He chased after him. A moment later – the strike…” she wrote.
