Sometimes being PM you have to do two things at once.
Starmer is the personification of a middle class lefty. He has progressive instincts but not the lived experience. Neither does the chancellor. Both he and Ms Reeves would do well to sit down with Angela Rayner without parasitic advisors in the room and hear about life on the edge from someone who knows.
I get some reform of the benefit system is necessary, but as with the WFA, and child allowances, when they get round to it, they need to properly understand what these things mean for end users. Only then should ideas be shared with MPs for discussion before announcing anything.
Starmer just isn’t much of a leader. He is a living example of the Peter principle.
He would be a great number 1 but he never Prime.
Or maybe it’s because the policy is wank and everyone knows it.
Like others have said he’s like a windsock, weak and simply changes course when the wind blows.
Sorry, but your Sec of State and Whips are there to do that for you. Why didn’t they?
