Education is the only hope of us working class adults having any hope. They reduced the amount of courses available through Springboard. Everything is going up in price. Education is the only means to help people.
It’s amazing how “tight” the government budget is when it comes to helping young people better themselves, compared to how readily they can direct vast sums of money towards other areas like NGOs, foreign diplomatic interventions, corporate tax breaks and loopholes, bike sheds and even RTE.
The government should be fully funding education and investing in young people, as costs would quickly be clawed back after graduation.
College fees should be abolished, permanently.
The apprenticeship system should be funded and reformed into a functional system.
Public transport should be completely free for all students.
