The nation’s finances are down the pan. Labour’s problem is that they keep making U-turns. We’re clearly not all in this together as those who work and contribute to society will, as always, be expected to pick up the slack when they U-turn on this.
The party of the worker? Not anymore.

Again, even the LibDems come across as the reincarnation of Marx compared to Starmer’s Labour
I am sorry for the language, but “traitorous c*nt” is the only way I can call Starmer these days. I hope the recent internal revolts will be enough to kick him out
Like, is there any group besides the rich and the Terfs he hasn’t hurt one way or another?

Absolutely great Labour, BRAVO! With the annual cost of poverty already costing the NHS £50bn per year (almost a £20bn rise in a decade) I cant think of a better way at bringing costs down than slashing the welfare bill even further 🤔

People don’t seem to realise that the national dept is currently around 100% and within the next 40 years or so it’s meant to rise up to about 300%.
Yet they argue about people being plunged into poverty… When in reality without large amount of Cuts and Growth the whole country is facing bankruptcy.

Torries bankrupted the country, you can’t expect the same levels of spending, being an adult in the room means cuts

The same people who complain about the so-called “welfare state” are the ones propping up the most entitled generation’s pensions while turning a blind eye to those exploiting the benefits system. In their minds, every problem this country faces could be fixed by simply stopping immigration. Starmer may not be perfect, but at least he’s trying — more than anyone else has in the last decade.

Yet when tories did it, the express championed austerity of saving the countries finances and the tories couldn’t cut hard enough.
Edit: not defending labour their cuts are disgusting, but it’s amazing when it’s not the tories doing it it’s only an issue for the right wing press like the express.

Although I don’t agree with a lot of labour policies the amount of Tory rag articles we see on this sub is nuts, literally every article is a piece about Starmer, it’s like this group of news papers has an agenda….
Just like with Brexit and every other terrible decision this country has made.

It’s OK because according to people on reddit everyone is cheating the system. So they can all just get those jobs that will magically appear too

Starmer betrays what it means to be labour.
The late, great John Smith, whom I knew personally, would not approve.

The elderly have the country by the balls.
We have the largest disparity In wealth by generation in the world. 34% of over 65s are asset millionaires. Our situation is very unique.
These all receive a triple locked pension.

Bin triple lock, go back to the means-tested WFA idea as well as implementing means-testing on other benefits that rich pensioners receive, tax the billionaires, then weather the storm of tory-rag articles and online question-askers for a couple of years.

1,000 new people on PIP a day. 2,000 new people claiming their pension every day. If you were going to start with one which one makes more sense?
I do hate the media though. Simultaneously Labour are being criticised for reforming the welfare state while at the same time criticised about how they are going to afford it. Very definition of “stuck between a rock and a hard place”.
