When I first heard about this I thought it was an ex of the victim but he was colleague and family friend. WTAF??????
There are some sick, twisted individuals in the world. The headline sentence here is life so lets hope he’s not given a soft sentence because he’s a Garda and will have a hard time in prison.

Genuinely one of the most fucked up articles I’ve ever read.
How many weirdos have her address. This is fùcked up beyond belief. He has to get some jail time. He’s fùcked up his own life. He’ll never get a job or have friends again. His sister spoke kindly of him but even she must be horrified of what he did. Who you let him anywhere near you own family if you were related to him.
If your a Gardai there should be a law where no leniency is allowed for cases where members of the public are targeted. There is a massive power imbalance and that should be reflected in sentencing.
