I have been using Bunq in Germany for 1.5 years. Please be aware that Bunq may block your account if it is not regularly used for everyday transactions. For instance, I received a warning about suspicious activity because I was only transferring money from Bunq to another well-known online bank.
Additionally, I encountered issues with setting up direct debit for D-Ticket, even though Bunq allows direct debit transfers.
In general, I recommend opening a German bank account. This will provide you with a payment history in Germany and help you build a SCHUFA credit score, which could be beneficial in securing a rental lease.
