lol they project things onto others that actually apply to them. Armenians were there well before Turks. We didn’t need to be created to “divide” people we predate.
So was Azerbaijan created by Russians?!
I responded and got downvoted automatically when I pointed out they all have Russified last names because Russians gave them last names for the first time in history (as well as their president being a dictator, his father being a KGB agent, the “disappearing of dissidents” just like Russia does).
Also ironic they’re bragging about Armenia being colonized for centuries before 1918 while rabidly sobbing about iSlAmOpHoBiA (meanwhile Azerbaijan provides most of Israel’s oil) and Armenians “genociding” a gazillion Azerbaijanis. It’s nothing but rabid barking from them.
Armenia as a nation and a state wasn’t and couldn’t have been created by the Russians. The current Armenian Republic was shaped under Russian influence, he’s right about that. Had Russia decided not to come to help the Christian Armenian population under Persian and Turkish control, things could’ve gone differently. However, that doesn’t mean we should accept the fact that this country and Zangezur were simply gifted to us. The Armenians in Zangezur put their lives on the line to fight against the Soviet and Turkish influence under Nzhdeh. Thanks to him, David Bek and many others the region was Armenian-dominated when the decision by Russia to grant us Zangezur was made.

I’ve been in so many arguments with these types of individuals that I’m not even surprised at the shit they spew anymore.
Imagine your country didn’t exist until 1918 and the name was stolen from a persian region, your people being called a different name (Tats) until then and you having russian surname suffixes. Must be tough.
regardless of which nation you will have people with this type of mentality that is similar to this one and I commented on that post as well (not that particular comment) there are people that are more aware of the situation and understand the history of caucasus in general and there are those that are told something else and are influenced by those parties.

Azerbaijan has some issues with Russia these few days, so they can have some “plus points” in the west as Russia is demonized.
As a consequence, they will try to go hard with propaganda about how Armenia is created by Russia, just to try to delegitimize your state among shallow western audience that is clueless about the situation.
