Keep signing folks in case a portion of the signatures are voided.
Just a question, here in Italy you have to sign it with your digital proven identity (there are special provider that require to either see you in person or video to enabled it) …so you can’t fake it in anyway.
Ia that different for other nations?
This is a cool petition and I totally support it but this kind of thing needs to include resources to contact your local MEP/MP (UK). Frankly without talking to your individual MEP/MP, this won’t gather much traction in the debates and in creating successful legislation.
On that note, I do understand that it is MP’s (UK) job to legislate and create systems of regulation for issues such as this, but frankly they have too much on their plate to push for something like this which likely won’t get them votes in their constituency. That’s one of the things I miss about the EU, is that MEP’s seemed to do lots of great work regulating companies and protecting consumers.
This is amazing progress and shows the power of collective action. Still, it’s crucial we don’t become complacent now. Let’s keep pushing for more signatures to account for any that may be disqualified. The stronger the final number, the harder it is for policymakers to ignore it
