handsome fella. I know that people are going to be upset that he got in trouble for this but hopefully next time folk feel like calling for arson and murder against innocent people on social media during civil unrest, they think twice and don’t do it.

anyway great cheekbones, mouth, stubble, very easy on the eyes in this heterosexual man’s opinion. Get that ear pinned back and you could do photoshoots, not like he needs the cosmetic surgery anyway, I’m sure he can do a good Tinder pic (he’s just hoping the matches don’t Google him)

      Freedom of speech: Yes

      Inciting murder: No

      It’s not that complex.

With something like this I would have issued a mandatory community service working with people and charities of different religions and ethnic backgrounds rather than jail, education is the best thing for people like this and I can guarantee after 15 months in jail his views will be exactly the same. Would’ve probably done the same with Lucy Connolly.

anyone got some insight as to why Lucy Connolly got 31 months and this guy 15 months?

Disturbing. No one should be getting locked up for this shit.

I do have a problem with this – I would prefer that the prosecution has to draw a much clearer line from ” Individual said X -> people committed violence and were directly inspired by individual saying X ”

For example ” burn down such and such hotel ” then people seeing the Tweedy, quickly sharing it/coordinating with their friends and then going to burn down the hotel.

That is obviously incitement which led to violence – a clear problem.

    8. I never used twitter. I always saw it as a place for morons to vent their stupidity and it always puzzled me why police gave is so much attention. Its just another forum like Reddit.

I’m more concerned about ‘real’ crimes like, muggings, shoplifting, burglary and harassment of women on the streets to name a few.

I’d be totally fine with this guys sentencing if all the other ‘real’ crimes were met with the same level of punishment.

Sticks and stones and all that.

The judge here, Jeremy Richardson KC, in another situation gave a [man who produced child pornography ](https://www.thestar.co.uk/news/crime/online-sheffield-pervert-who-preyed-on-childs-vampire-fascination-is-spared-from-prison-3909607)with a 13-year-old a community order instead of jail time. There’s no reason this requires anything more than a suspended sentence or community order, and it appears to be his first offense which usually grants leniency. Plus he pleaded. When tweets are taken more seriously than other crimes, guys like this frankly feel like sacrificial lambs to try and put a lid on the UK’s current political tension.

Here comes the “fwedum ov spech” inbreds saying this fella has been “loked up fur nufin”…..Attempting to incite others to burn vulnerable people alive, deserves an even more severe sentence.

      >Go on Rotherham, burn any hotels [with asylum seekers]

He didn’t say that. As per the [Guardian article](https://www.theguardian.com/law/2025/jul/02/surrey-joseph-haythorne-jailed-social-media-post-x-southport-murders), he said

      >Go on Rotherham. Burn any hotels with them scruffy bastards in it

Obviously we all know he was referring to asylum seekers given the context, but he didn’t technically refer to asylum seekers directly, so it seems weird that the BBC would imply he did.

      Me: I want Cillian Murphy

Parent: We have Cillian Murphy at home

      Cillian Murphy at home:

    13. There is a massive difference between free speech and hate speech/exciting violence or threats.

I think fines would be better than jail time personally. Everytime you do it whack another £100 on

    14. BusyBeeBridgette on

Inciting violence? Welp, can’t be doing that. Enjoy the prison life!

Any news on the people holding signs asking for women to be hanged? They can’t be far behind right?

    16. OKRoomba0 on

So im assuming bob vylan will also be done under the same set of rules right?

    17. Locking these people up doesn’t fix them if anything it just radicalises them further, give them a community service order or something instead.

    18. ReasonableWill4028 on

He would have probably got less time if he had just burnt the hotels down.

    19. Only_Tip9560 on

Oh but what about the double standards, they will cry? Yeah well they actually tried to burn down a hotel, so when you see the middle class rebellious kids from Berkshire launching airstrikes against the IDF let me know…
