I don’t really see a defence for them that could justify attacking police as they conduct the execution of their lawful duties but I’ve been surprised before.
No doubt in my mind they’ll get a slap on the wrist… if that.
Well, it didn’t happen according to their not guilty pleas. It was all a dream, apparently.

Remember when this first happened and there was people on here pre-emptively writing soliloquies about how we’re all sickening, racist bigots for even thinking about having an opinion about these fine upstanding gentlemen…. Then the extended video came out.
So basically aan allegedly harasses their Mum during a flight but just being a bother. Pushing her seat and what not.
So when the flight arrives and their mother gets off the plane, the mother tells her boys what had happened and recognises the man who allegedly engaged in such behaviour. So they then decide to NOT contact the police but rather assault the man themselves and when police tried arresting them, the two blockheads attack the officers.
I find it bizarre that they have picked a Human Rights lawyer to defend them in what I would strongly suspect will be a criminal case.
I wonder what rabbit he will try to pull out of his velvet bag in their defence.
If these scumbags avoid prison then I fully expect anyone who is in prison serving time for the same thing to be released.
It is clear as day what they did. This is not self defense, they clearly assaulted the police officers. They deserve to be locked up. If this were USA then they’d not be even in court right now.
They have a Human Rights lawyer representing them.
Sums up a lot of the wrongs in the country at the moment.

So, whilst I think these two should go to jail, I really don’t like the “police did nothing wrong” here.
There’s a video of the aftermath where bystanders standing about are getting pepper sprayed by the police. Did you notice that four people were initially charged at first? Why are only these two on trial?
Because they grabbed two random bystanders, pepper sprayed them and then PC headstomper was trying to take the phones off people watching (probably because he knew the recording made him look shit).
All 3 should’ve been charged, but the head stomp guy should lose his job at minimum. If the police officer who stomped thought he was in the right, why was he trying to take the phone of a man recording? Has anyone even seen that video, not just the first phone recording and CCTV?
Whilst I don’t believe police actions were racially motivated on the day, I do think a lot of the public reaction has been. If these were white guys who fought the police and got stomped, beat with batons after they stopped resisting, people would be up in arms about it.

Video of them pepper spraying those bystanders recording (these guys aren’t on trial for some reason – curious). Did the police just randomly start using pepper spray on random people standing close by? If there were four people involved as initially claimed by police, why did police not take the other two to trial. Why is there no video of them doing anything other than recording and saying they haven’t done anything?
