Sometimes you almost *hope* that a post was churned out by a mindless LLM model.

    2. Had to walk through it to get to work in Belfast once. Lower Lisburn road.

Honestly, all them uns Vs yous uns aside, it was genuinely disgusting, not to mention huge double standards for what is allowed.

To the first point, the litter, everywhere. People getting black out drunk in huge numbers, singing sectarian songs while the cops plod about, smiling and have a good time. I seen kids as young as 5/6 with union jacks painted on their faces, carrying toy rifles about. Classy. When I got to work (restaurant at Shaftesbury square), we had to get a bouncer, got dogs abuse. A heavily pregnant woman was necking a bottle of wine leaning on the window, absolutely loaded. Paramilitary flags and that’s allowed. I’ve never felt more intimidated than having to walk through that (and before anyone says, I left at my normal time to leave for work, I had no idea about the scale of it, so didn’t have time to walk around).

Then on Paddy’s day, police will harass you for drinking outside. They go around the holy lands in riot gear, harassing anyone that sets foot outside their property with a drink.

These lads better hope there is never a vote passed, cause that will be the end of their antics.

      Catholic here – Roman too
Are there any lodges in the south of Ireland 🇮🇪- I know orange men are popular in the north
If not – there must have been at some point at least in the Munster plantation ?

as an American observing from afar, the orange order seem like a bunch of fucking morons. The fact that they want to be part of Brexit era England instead of United Ireland just proves it. Seriously, fuck those guys.
