Need to stop expecting anything from Trump and turn to Europe. We can all see how weak Russia is, but apparently all of Europe combined is even weaker. Like, can the entirety of the continent not muster enough air defense for a single country, let alone a single city? Somehow there’s STILL humming and hawing about increasing defense spending

Stop hoping. Trump will not support Ukraine, he has been 100% consistent on that position for years. He wants Putin to win, and then he wants US society to be a copy of Russia: A few extremely wealthy oligarchs in power and an impoverished, apolitical population. Just stop hoping he’s gonna change: He’s not.
The Trump tactic: you throw somebody over board, then ask money to be saved.

We (European nations) can, and must, rise to the occasion. We must forget about U.S. support (this is not a new concept), tell the likes of Orban to sit quietly and behave (and we’ll deal with them later), defend Ukraine comprehensively, and ultimately hit Russia harder.
The moral, political and military cowardice makes me feel sick. Putin will keep threatening nuclear annihilation until his last breath, and I’m sure he’s quite willing to end all life on earth rather than back down. That shouldn’t make him untouchable, it should make him everyone’s target.
