The Director General of the European Commission for Neighborhood Issues and Enlargement Negotiations will arrive in Azerbaijan. The visit of Gert Jan Koopman will take place from 3 to 4 May.
In Baku, Koopman will discuss bilateral cooperation, including regional ties and cooperation in the field of renewable energy.
It is expected that the Director General will propose the creation of a European Mine Action Group in Azerbaijan with the participation of representatives of EU member states.
Before Azerbaijan, Koopman will visit Georgia and Armenia.
