Last time they had a good lineup
Sunday was a cracker weather wise as well

When Longitude started out it had good lineups for a couple of years. But it decided to completely change it’s target audience and become essentially a festival for 16-18 year olds somewhere around 2017 or 2018.

When did it make the change over to all dance / electronic music?

All I remember from this festival was how unimpressed I was with Kendrick Lamar.

Kelela and Kendrick on the same day sounds incredible. Anyone got a time machine?

Four names, that’s it. I’m old and out of touch.

this is just nostalgia googles. the majority of these acts are pure shit. I saw the coronas supporting paul mccartney and they were so awful, lining up for the toilet was honestly more enjoyable.

People saying it’s changed and now it’s for 16-18 year olds like it’s a bad thing. Yet young people be young with their friends.

I’m 42 but I’d still rather get a day ticket to Longitude than most fests. The other festivals book too much legacy shit. I’d rather see some artists in their prime. I like rap music as well and they book a load of stuff you wouldn’t see outside of London otherwise.

Nope. 2013 was last decent one.
Had a friend who worked in gigs and he explained that festival republic had acts for the UK block booked, acts that the UK kids like. Irish kids not so much.
They weren’t going to book different acts for Ireland and they just sent that UK muck repeatedly as it wasnt costing them any extra and fed it to the kids until they thought they liked it.

Eventually turning it into the mess it is today.
