Sadly nothing new in Croatia, they refuse to acknowledge they have a huge problem with glorification of Nazi collaborators and Nazi admirers, because “they fought for our independence from the Serbs”…

I am Croatian and I don’t like Thompson. He can’t even form a grammatically correct sentence. But this is total bullshit.

The people, especially the younger, are far from nazis and in my 10 years of living in Zagreb, I have never ever heard of something like this.

I would describe myself as left if I were politically active and wouldn’t consider all of this bullshit, but the headlines that pop up lately and the comments people leave just demonize everything which has a hunch of conservatism. Yes, we should be against nazism, and no, this is far from nazism and will never ever turn to nazism.

I cannot really fathom how disconnected and downright delusional you have to be to call the guy a Nazi and everyone attending Nazis when almost 30% of the Croatian population of 3.86 million people attended that concert.

But this is r/europe where only terminally online leftists and activists talk so it checks out.
