I always feel like we really shot ourselves in the the foot by banning (or whatever way we went about cancelling their construction) those modern communal living setups.
There’s a metric tonne worth of tech people with next to 0 social circles living in the city who would be more than happy to live in somewhat of a communal / socially tipped living setup.
Everyone cried housing crisis and modern day bedsits and now we don’t have them
All I need is a chair and I’m sorted.
Could probably sleep 2 men to a phone box. €600 a month, each.
We used to have lots of decommissioned phone boxes, then the bastards tore them up. I know lots of people my age who love to rent somewhere they can sleep standing up, it’s healthier and unsustainable for everyone to sleep lying down.
Initially ridiculous but we’ve tried nothing else and are all out of ideas…
