Is this not just the aide having the statement prepared in advance in case it was needed?
Can this stupid “anti semitism” witch hunt just die already.
Well Nandy has received £52,000 in donations from the pro-Israel lobby, so you’d expect something back in return. I’m just surprised how cheap our politicians are.
Looking through her register of interests, I see that the BBC had donated free tickets to the Eurovision Song Contest final worth £760. The BBC need to up their game if they want to buy her influence.

It’s probably quite good diplomatic strategy to pretend to agree when Israeli government officials rant about how all criticism of their government is “antisemitism”. They’d be upset if we suggested that no, they have to be accountable for their actions and policy choices and sometimes people are going to disagree with them in a perfectly honest way.
I genuinely feel like I’m living in cloud cuckoo land at the moment.
The Israeli government are ramping up their genocidal campaign in Gaza. Every day more and more evidence comes out about the indiscriminate killings of civilians and plans to build settlements in Gaza. Yet our political class, instead of finally breaking with the Israeli government and standing against genocide, are responding to this by… intensifying their opposition to anyone and everyone who dares to criticise Israel.
It’s genuinely insane, what else is there to say at this point. I know it’s trite to say it’s [hypernormalisation](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HyperNormalisation), but on so many issues the distance between what the government are saying and reality (on inequality, on disabled people, on LGBT+ rights, on Gaza, etc.) feels huge.
I’ve said it many times before, and will doubtless say it many more times. Zionists have the same mindset as spoiled children. No matter how much you slavishly support them, no matter how much to bend over backward to defend their every act of sadistic cruelty, they will still stamp their feet and cry about how “mean” and “unfair” everything is.
It’s pathetic and the end result is beyond horrific.
This must be her sales pitch for PM. You have to be 100% loyal to Israel to have a shot at it.
