Isn’t that already the case? Denmark is the most xenophobic country in the EU alongside Hungary 🇭🇺

Misleading headline. What she means is lower influx of middle east mostly arabic immigrants.

Denmark has seen the number of immigrant workers increasing from 154000 in 2010 to over 410000 in 2025.
Parliament also made it easier for immigrants two weeks ago. Lowering the required wage threshold by 1/3 to attracj lower wage/skilled immigrants.

    4. This needs to happen across the EU. Let genuine people come but get rid of people trying to take advantage. You need to be firm but fair, if they don’t the EU will dissolve and degrade as people turn against it and vote in far-right parties.

She is right. No more Glovo and friends, no more Amazon drivers with bad wages, no more exploiting agricultural workers. Stop competing on lower prices, increase salaries.

I would literally vote left if the left wing parties in the Netherlands would like to tackle migration as well. But no, they literally say “everyone is welcome.”

So I need to vote on some center-right party to keep my country…my country

This is the main issue in all of Europe. Solve this problem and we wouldn’t be seeing a right wing surge.

At the same time she’s making it more difficult for low income families to survive and immigration laws are tailored to let wealthy higher middle class workers in.

This is such non-issue, identity politics BS. European countries continue, to this day, to top the world peace index and are the safest countries in the world.

What started as right-wing scapegoating and propaganda has now become an easy answer for centrists to hold onto their failing economic policies that actively make average Europeans poorer and worse off than the generations before them. There is no statistical, data-driven, unbiased evidence that immigrants cause more crimes or make countries less safe. “Feeling less safe” is a matter of prejudice and subjectivity, not fact.

If European politicians have any interest in actually improving the lives of Europeans, it is very simple: tax the rich, re-invest the funds toward public benefits, regulate businesses and mandate salary increases/CoL adjustments.

Businesses exploit migrants to pay low wages. Businesses do mass layoffs while recording record profits. People are struggling to put food on the table, make ends meet, and see any sort of future of economic prosperity or wellbeing — while Jeff Bezos rents out Venice for a wedding… And these centrists want to talk about migrants instead. Just give your seat to the far-right already because you won’t win elections with this policy or messaging.

Note: does not apply to ukrainians, russians and other wealthy migrants. You are more than welcome to buy your way in, even if it means screwing over the housing market for all the locals.

Yawn. Denmark’s presidency of the Council of the EU will not achieve anything remarkable just like no other county’s presidency ever has in the past.

The remarks and declarations released by the EU countries when they take charge of the rotating presidency are just opportunities for internal political propaganda and nothing else. Maybe they should even be straight up abolished.

the future collaborators with fascism gathering in the comments. Disgraceful. This will not save the Union.
