I won’t jump on the embarassy or department of justice for denying the applications without context but surely for something like this they could work with the club to resolve the issues rather than just rejecting straight out 

>The embassy said it didn’t have enough information on the applicants plans, such as an itinerary on what GAA clubs they would be visiting, and financial plans for how their visit would be facilitated. 

> It further said that no Garda vetting certificates for host families were submitted, and that invitation letters from host families weren’t provided, amongst other issues the embassy identified. 

> Claire Liddy, organiser with GAA Palestine, said that the organisation had provided many letters on the itinerary for the trip.

The core facts of the story. It’s obviously a real shame but also seems half arsed on behalf of the organisers.
