Basically the current government has scrapped the Marine Protection Area bill (MPA) which was, after years of work, was on its way to being passed into legislation.
i think we collectively need to get it out of our heads that this government has the will to protect anything other than shareholder value and profits. It’s not even vaguely disguised

Is anyone surprised ? You see the massive quotas European vessels get to fish our waters . My uncle told me that back in the 50s , the shoals of mackerel that used to swim up and down the coast were massive , the sea would change colour due to the amount of them . Now you’d be lucky to catch them . You might get a few here or there but nothing like years ago . We’re destroying the planet and everything that lives on it .
If anyone needed another demonstration of what the effect of not having the Greens in government is.
