A joint statement issued on behalf of paramilitaries in south Belfast has also warned of the possibility of “serious and sustained disorder”.

“PSNI have been advised of the risk of widespread disorder, with loyalists in other areas across NI staging interface riots to stretch the PSNI,” they said

Ah yes such a normal thing to consistently happen in a Western country.

As an honest to god, not taking the piss question. When is the last time that republicans’ caused “serious and sustained disorder”?

I know there are no angels here, but as a ratio over the last 10 years, hows it looking?

Why can’t they just be allowed to burn their rubbish and used tyres in peace? So unfair.

Will the “Ireland First” crew be up supporting their UVF mates in their rioting?

Three fire engines parked beside the transformer would solve this problem.

If these people want to be British hooligans, they can fuck off over to Britain. I am sick and tired of their uncivilised, barbaric riots and their drunken intimidation marches. I am sick of tolerating them.

The illusion of peace will be tested. Who thought it would be a great idea to populate the north of Ireland with people from all over the world. Nice idea but we have to live in the real world and this is what it looks like.

This is the beginning of the end of loyalism. The demographics have changed: Belfast city council voting to remove this will highlight the fact that loyalists are no longer in control. Ballymena has also annoyed a lot of average people as have the racist posters and effigies on the bonfire in Tyrone. The Loyalists are far right bigots and extremists.

If Kneecap get court cases over waving a flag then the UVF surely can’t be allowed burn tricolours?

Surely Britian doesn’t have double standards 😮

As someone who regularly works with MV and HV equipment. If this bonfire goes ahead and it falls on the substation, People won’t get hurt… They die. Clearly not a sparks or an engineer in the entire orange community

Does anybody have a link to the statement “issued on behalf of paramilitaries in south Belfast”?

    12. I can understand the upset – for many of these locals, building this is the only bit of work they’ll do all year.

Back to scratching their arses and eating packets of Walkers and Wotsits, I suppose. Maybe shout at a few brown people.

    13. They should send over police/army from England to help out taking this nonsense down. Except England couldn’t give a crap about the North, which these people will never accept.

These cunts are why I’m against reunification. Let them rot in their shithole.
