The way things are going, we’ll probably be all dead in a nuclear war or some other bs before then.
Nevermind 2070, it’ll lead to my death in a couple of years, can’t stand this heat.

Is this assuming the entire country stubbornly refuses to adapt by e.g. installing air conditioning into homes as standard and forcing councils to drop their ridiculous planning laws over exhaust fan units?
We’re a country built around “middle of the park” weather that doesn’t deal with extremes either end of the scale.. you could write a near identical article about cold as well
We haven’t had a serious heatwave in The UK for decades. This year it has been way too hot (curiously, no hose pipe bans though) but we’re probably well overdue for it.
