While Ireland is correct, and right to insist that this was always possible under the ‘public policy’ exemption, it is to be welcomed that the EU are clarifying same. We should not underestimate the opposition to our particular perspective on Israel/Gaza, nor should we dismiss, out of hand, the modest movement from the EU in a similar direction.

How can you do this on an area, would it not be easy to by pass these bans? Should it not just be the whole country as they are enforcing it?
