It will rise a bit and hopefully reaches the Eichstrich

Actually not. But it happens and is usually not worth the hassle. Order your second one with the words “aber diesmal bitte mehr Bier als Schaum” 😉

This is disgusting. Anything below 0.5 is already a crime but the amount of foam is basically spitting in your face.

No. But most of the time the waiters/waitresses don’t mind filling it up if you show them.

It’s as acceptable as asking a question without a question mark. People do it despite knowing they shouldn’t. Still better than a glass filled with ice cubes.

If I went to a restaurant in Bavaria and got this I’d be pissed

No, something like this can happen, but if all my beers that evening would look like this i would complain.
You can demand that they fill the glass correctly. Beer must go up to the Füllstrich, the foam doesn’t count!

Depend a on your blood pressure readings and how seriously you take life. 😁

Looks like it’ll hit the mark, so it should be ok. In Köln, they serve with a lot of head because they say it helps to retain the carbonation. Of course, the glasses typically served in Köln are so small there should never be any risk of a loss of carbonation. Not enough head would be a bigger crime. Prost!🍻

Not in Germany and I think it is very rare to see. I generally see 1 sip above the indicator both in beers and wines so you can get them correct it easily

Depends, what size did you order?
0.3 liter? Then probably yes.

Shrinkflation got you there.
Jokes aside, in Germany .4 is a super strange format. 0.33 or 0.5 is the norm. You get 0.4 in fancy foreign craft beer places but that’s about it
feichinger on
Could be close, but it looks like pretty dense foam, so that might well settle to the fill line.

No
Well, the foam should be gone by now, is it? 🙂
Did you ordered 0,33?
Take it back and get filled properly.
