How Kyiv Set Up Aliyev: Or Once Again About Azerbaijan’s “Principled Stance”…

Yes, Kyiv very unfairly betrayed its Azerbaijani allies with its attempt to close the case of the SBU colonel’s murder in Kyiv through media manipulation.

Absolutely everything went wrong. And now everyone expects Baku—following the model used against Russia—to summon the Ukrainian ambassador in Baku and publicly wipe the floor with him (and demand repentance for the destruction of the friendship between the two peoples):

The people who were killed were Azerbaijani citizens. They were simply shot dead, with the murder of the SBU thug pinned on them.

And even a hedgehog can see that this was just a dumb move by the SBU, trying to make themselves look like “tough guys” in the media instead of the fools they really are. It’s a slap in the face to Ilham Aliyev, who is now made to look like an idiot in front of his own people.

Even a hedgehog gets it. But not Aliyev. And not “all of Azerbaijan.” They completely ignore the fact that their fellow countrymen were gunned down (unlike how they reacted to events two weeks ago).

At the same time, no one in Baku today is comparing Kyiv to Nazi Germany or telling their brainwashed population about the problems with democracy in Ukraine.

No one is summoning the Ukrainian ambassador in Azerbaijan or wiping the floor with him.

No one is demanding that Kyiv punish the guilty.

Тhe Azerbaijani leadership doesn’t give a damn about its own citizens, and they are intentionally inflaming conflict with Russia today.
