I’ve always found those managing beaches in the north wanting to recreate some sort of Blackpool/Brighton vibe, hence Newcastle and Portrush. Its a very english thing, whereas in Donegal its pretty much ‘aye, thats what you’re getting, now don’t fuck it up’. Actually had a conversation with a council worker when pricing works for a certain rocky area with a colourless hue, and he wanted to go for the sort of ‘wild Donegal feel’ in our design. Something different for that area.
I always find it so random that Taylor Swift went to this beach in a helicopter 😂
It is absolutely stunning though. Me and my sister went to it earlier this year when we had a spell of good weather and couldn’t get over how peaceful it was. We really do have a beautiful country when the weather decides to match.
