      I have a feeling this is going to go very badly. We’re not like the US, where the culture around medical prescription was “think of an excuse to give this person drugs they want”. That’s why we didn’t have the Opioid epidemic.

      Once the medical cannabis situation in the UK starts to give the impression that it’s a recreational market poorly-disguising itself, I fully expect the government to crack down hard. Medical cannabis was legalised reluctantly, less than ten years ago, due to a handful of high-profile cases of children with severe epilepsy who genuinely needed it. It’s not laying the groundwork for a future recreational market, and BrewDog is playing with fire if they think it is. Ask the British gun-owning/shooting community what happens when you don’t keep a low profile in this country.

      This is the other Brewdog guy with hair, not the bald guy everyone hates. This is the guy who brewed all the original beers.

      Martin was my mentor when I worked at Brewdog, he was overshadowed by James but was a smart guy.

       I could be wrong but it looks to me like they have rebranded their vertical farm project where they grew herbs like basil etc, as Morag Thomas lead that project, she is now suddenly the COO of their weed growing pharmaceutical company lol, I give it to Martin, seems to be using his stake to fund wild projects. All the best to him.

      Unironically venture capitalists pushing for legalisation of weed is what this country needs. The only way to break monopoly few companies have over this market in UK

      Getting a licence to grow medical cannabis is like getting a licence to print money. It’s easy to grow, goes from seed to harvest in 15 – 20 weeks. With the right set up even a modest sized unit can pump out a ton of the stuff every month. The equipment and labour are relatively cheap a well.

      Just imagine what those Albanians could do if they weren’t limited to council house grows for example.
