Enough of that independence and ‘I’m a special snowflake with my own identity’.
No you are not, or maybe you are, but nobody cares.
I want you all in, UK, Scotland/Ireland AND your long lost immigrated uncle from Boston.
We are EU citizen, but as long as you all yammer about your whatever identity you got from living within 100 square miles, we are never gonna get to a point where we are strong enough to tell people, ( US, RU), to go choke on a big bag of lukewarm double ended dildos.
Goddamn you all, we are not that different.

Will [Cornwall](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cornish_nationalism) be welcomed as an independent EU state too? How will this new robust, proud, bankrupt Scotland handle the [Wir Shetland](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wir_Shetland) secession movement? Orkney and Shetland Islands should have an equal place at the table with France and Germany. Every decent person knows that.

I just feel like we have larger issues at hand right now and ruining our economy/abandoning our military commitments wouldnt be the greatest help. I used to be pro indy when i was younger but these days i just see it as futile. We would be a much weaker country after and most likely be gripped by the growing issue of populism as seen in most liberal democracies. Not that i think it would matter, the referendum will always be a 50/50 here and the only reason i still happily vote for the SNP is because i know theyll never truly “win” another election.
It would honestly be a nightmare for Scotland, England and Wales if Scotland went independent and joined the EU for one simple reason, it would need a hard border between Scotland and England.

I’d be happy to watch Scotland try and go it alone only for them to realise England provides them with a large amount of the public money they get.
Be interesting watching them have to make cuts and live with it.

Not too surprising.
Anyone who thinks that Spain supports separatist states is obviously either drunk, or deliberately distorting the poll results
That they asked the UK is hilarious. Might as well ask the Chinese.
I bet the EU can’t wait to subsidise an impoverished Scotland that [can’t pay its own bills](https://www.gov.scot/publications/government-expenditure-revenue-scotland-gers-2023-24/).
Greenland and Catalonia next.
So, there’s also support for the whole UK rejoining the EU.
