It’s weird how this doesn’t match up with him saying he was basically exonerated.

Interesting to know what will happen with the next series of Masterchef. Would be pretty pissed if I was the winner of the series and it never aired!

As ever it seems like the BBC and production company had terrible HR and complaint processes. Which isnt exactly a surprise, admittedly.

I still don’t really see what this is other than an attack on a typical British man who grew up with British innuendo culture throughout the 1900s. He’s a living, breathing Carry On Film not a sex pest. He has the same “hands on” persona of probably around 70% of British men over 40.
If Barbara Windsor was alive today, would we see the BBC dragging her through mud for showing her knockers for 50 years?
I find it a bit weird that everyone in the UK and at Banijay Productions has become more prudish than British society from 500 years ago. Yet at the same time can’t wait to watch (voyeur…) people having sex on TV on shows like love island, et al.
Banijay are a French company first and foremost who produce the usual French smut. They are led by people who have on their CV produced smut like temptation island, love triangle and the horned up big brother series, and apparently wife swap. They stoke the fires on purpose so I don’t believe anyone working there or any other company linked to them programs is an emotionally scarred victim like they claim when they know exactly what buttons to press to gauge reactions.
Going beyond Banijay though, context is everything particularly for the racist language. These events took place since around 2005. Yes, racist language is abhorrent, but who hasn’t heard racist language in the 2000’s following 9/11 and 7/7 incidents? It was nearly impossible for ethnic minorities to get a job for a while because of this (having known a lot of ethnic graduates in the 2000s). British society was incredibly hostile thoughout 2000s.
It sets a dangerous precedent, that now anyone who has or believes they have been victimised in the last two decades, can now bring claims against their co-workers or against the average Joe.

I don’t watch Masterchef but I’m a bit confused, was it originally a BBC studios production then later became a Banjay production.

> “Mr Wallace accepts that his diagnosis may help to explain some of his actions, but he does not wish to hide behind it.”
That’s odd, because him banging on about how nobody provided him a safe protective environment for him because of his autism, and claiming to be the victim himself as a result, is *exactly* that..
If Gregg has been on his best behaviour since 2018, or at least not on his worst, then the BBC can probably show the new series of Masterchef. It is a shame for the Masterchef contestants that this coincides with the BBC also being under fire for Glastonbury and the Gaza documentary.
