I haven’t seen anyone use the description “right-on” in about thirty years. Where did they dig this old cunt up from?

The Sunday Independent supports workers rights while acknowledging the positive social good that pro union campaigns do. What a wonderful time to be alive.

Bohs are tedious wankers but this is just classic Sindo gutter journalism

The whole “causes” stuff from Bohs is just a marketing thing. They only became that club recently, it’s not a historical thing.
This is the same club that just 10 years ago knowingly signed a guy that was convicted of sexually assaulting a 14 year old. The supporters chanted “he’s one of our own” and they knew too.
The treatment of Henderson was rightly called out, but, insofar as they can rescue any credibility from the incident, at least Bohs offered a grovelling apology. Better late than never, even if it did go all the way to the WRC
On a separate note, imagine unironically typing the words “darlings of the right-on yoof market” without immediately shitting yourself to death

Bloke scouted and had players signed that ended up being some of the worst players i’ve seen play for Bohs. That’s pathetic journalism though.

Although it’s hard to take a critique on workers rights from the Sindo’s Business section too seriously, there has been a contradiction in the image Bohs want to present of themselves and how they operate in reality.
For example, they appointed a climate justice officer to great fanfare a few years back and he’s regularly in the media talking about the climate emergency and the importance of sustainability. At the same time they keep pumping out gimmicky new kits every few months intended for sale on the mass market which surely goes against this mission.
This WRC ruling is another level altogether though – to actually have “Better in a trade union” on one of your kits and to treat a staff member like this is honestly just stunning hypocrisy.
I love the retro dad-style mark-up job. Takes me back.

Selling jerseys with most of the money going to charity or good causes = bad.
That’s good to note. Didn’t realise there were so many Far-right (and, ironically, virtue signallers) users in this group. Good to know now, I suppose.
