That’s not a lot of money, considering the amount of charging points that will be needed, if they really want everyone to go electric
The problem: this will still NOT decrease electricity prices.
And that’s the other big obstacle.
Needs a lot more than that. If we truly want to switch to EV the whole grid will require upgrading. Personally I would want to see renationalisation first because why should we as tax payers be paying to upgrade infrastructure for private company profits? They should be paying for this out of the profits as it’s an investment for them. What is the actual point in privatisation?
Whenever I hear a funding announcement I always imagine what thing did they cut and divert to introduce this money here
I’ve worked it out, that amounts to 1678 chargers, that’ll help.
Which private company are they handing all this cash to this time then.
That’s like me saying “I’ve got a tenner, let’s decorate the house”.
