      The name Kemi is originated from an old Same language and it means basically a field. Moreover, like a field thats left behind when a flooted river goes back to its place

      So they gave their own names to cities already there! The text gives you the impression that the Tatars would have founded these cities 😆

      Finnish Tatars are a group only mere hundreds in size, and as far as I know they have always used local names for the cities, as they had no reason to devise new ones.

      I would gladly take a source, or you will get a report.

    4. Tatars is a muslim minority community  who have lived here for 150 years and who are well off by socio-economic standards. If my memory serves me right, they held an annual football match with the Finnish Jewish community .

      Something to think about for today’s immigration disucssion
