      Idk only met a handful but people tend to hate my government too but person-to-person only one has ever given me grief for being English (he was a drunk Dutchman).

      If US invaded Canada, or any country invaded or pillaged another one, citizens of that country should be refused entry to democratic countries, especially in Europe, I know Asian nations wouldn’t give a flying shit, look at Thailand and Vietnam of how many ruzzians they’re letting in, but Europe should not be giving Russians tourist visas, make them feel the consequences of their dear leaders invasion of Ukraine, Russian people should feel the consequences of their nations war of aggression against Ukraine, Europe needs to grow its balls…

      I don’t see any problem with this. Let Russians use their money and strengthen our economies so that we can use their own money against them.

      I have absolutely no problem with using my enemy’s money. I’d say it’s even more satisfying.

      France’s actions are sometimes bizarre. Do you remember Macron claiming that Russia definitely wasn’t about to invade Ukraine

      Obviously France is getting something in return. Gas, uranium, or simply a promise that russia won’t send mercenaries to attack French property in Africa (again).

      Some European countries are such cowards and hypocrites.

      Visas issued to Russia are up +25% 2023 vs. 2024.
      Main destinations are not even the Hungaries and Slovakias of this world (because there are much nicer holiday destinations, right?), but Italy (biggest Visa provider), France, Spain, and Greece.

      Why the fuck do we provide the citizens of a country that we’re in a war with (at the very least indirectly) the opportunity to come and celebrate their holidays here? It’s fucking ridiculous.

      Simply insane that most people support completely shutting off the whole country because of the actions of its government, I’m disgusted. You literally won’t accept even the victims of the regime. Speaking about “spreading propaganda” after something like this is simply ironic, it’s a cold war schizophrenia all over again. I’m waiting when China and Israel are going to be fully disallowed too then.

      Almost 2 years ago, I visited a small local olive oil production site in Creta. The owner told me they were seeing a bus of Russians every few days. He was pissed and also was like “don’t ask me”.

      It’s not only about France.

      And I bet a few tourists just “disappear” here and there. Sure the cash flows in but how are we making sure these dudes don’t just disappear and start doing some shady stuff ?
