Married Redditors sweating nervously and combing the article for clues right now

There should be a flair for a link to a subscription only article…

Read a great book on QAnon- it is breaking up families in the states like this. The advice given is to hit these people with even wilder theories which compel them to use reason and logic. Turn it into farce.

My husband not having the balls to tell me this to my face! Instead he’s bitching about it to the IT. This is how I have to find out! I’ll ask for his ass to be deported too.

A lot of the anti-immigration heads do seem to be deeply unhappy, imagine walking around life raging everytime you see someone born in a different place to you haha.

Have lost a relative to the right wing conspiracy rabbit hole, it’s not easy to dig them out. Can’t imagine how difficult it is if it’s your partner and parent of your children.

My partner has always leaned right and has recently taken a passing interest in the immigration discussions. I don’t mind him having right wing / different opinions to me, variety is the spice of life, but it’s the rabbit hole I’m worried about. Like the writer says, her husband is absorbing anti-immigration social media and all of a sudden he feels “emasculated” because she didn’t take his surname when they married. So anti-immigration has led him to the manosphere. I had a family member that questioned COVID-19 restrictions, as many did – nothing out of the ordinary. Next thing you know, she’s bringing up all things anti-vax, anti-trans, pro-Putin over the dinner table… it just seems to suck you in. There’s a domino affect.

Can’t believe John McGuirk’s wife would write an Irish Times article like that…

Do you think these letters are genuine ?

I mean who writes into the Irish Times complaining about their husbands.

      Theres Reddit for that.

Or is it a weird way of creating click bait but also has an agenda?

    13. The financial penalties for a failed marriage are too high that anyone that weighs up the risks might consider it not worth it. Most men will lost out in a divorce. The law didn’t have equal treatment of both parties.
