Am i right to read this and assume it’s just another instance of the government doing absolutely nothing to actually change anything?

      I mean:

      >Instead, acquiring citizenship will now be open to those deemed to have provided “exceptional services” and “exceptional contributions” to Malta.

This can just be translated to “open to those deemed to have provided a lot of cash or business to Malta”, or what other “merits” will they be looking for?

In the end we’re still talking about, wealthy individuals from shady countries will still be able to buy their way to an EU passport through Malta?

So basically they are pulling a labour, and rewording and remarketing the same corrupt ring as something new and different and not corrupt?

Merit based contributions my ass, they will do like what they are doing now, buying up property and using that as proof of contributions to malta and off to europe they go.
