After the fall of the Dutch government last month, national parliamentary elections are due for 29 October 2025.

Current polling shows already a large shift in voter preference before the election campaign has even started.

Notably, one of the government coalition parties, NSC, is projected to lose all of its current 20 seats.

Can anyone explain the political alignments of these parties?

    3. Doesn’t seem like a big swing to towards the left despite the right screwing things up, or am I missing something? What far-right parties lose, other ECR parties seem to gain, and the size of growth among the left seems to be similarly sized as the fall of RE members.

Looks to me like yet another situation where both fringes grow while the center deteriorates, so the public becoming less united?

Actually, the ECR growth exceeds the PfE loss in terms of seats, so the far-right sentiment does not rrally suffee from Wilders showing what it leads to, at all?

Is NSC+BBB getting replaced with CDA a big shift in itself, policy-wise?

I would guess a grand coalition of Greens/PvdA, CDA and either VVD or D66 is the likeliest outcome?

    4. PVV Geert wilders his party is unlikely to be able to form a coalition as almost all main parties like VVD, GL/PvdA, CDA have stated they wont be forming a government with him upcoming election.

So it seems the GL/PvdA (Green Workers party) leftwing with VVD (Mark ruttes party Liberal right wing) and CDA (Christian Democratic appel, center of right) will have to come to some form of coalition… its going to be difficult as those parties are not really seeing eye to eye on policy. You need 75+ seats to form a coalition.

Also judging by the polling i dont understand why Rob Jette remains the party leader for D66…
Like you havent been able to get any decent amount of seats last election and polling is showing your not able to get more… maybe its time for someone new?

Shaming for Dutch politics. No vision and no solutions, just poking with a stick. That’s the reason the PVV right wing became so big. The most empty thing there is on earth.
