The OTB applies to ILLEGALLY OCCUPIED TERRITORIES, not the majority of Israel. And it is being applied because they are illegally occupied Palestinian territories! Nothing to do with the fact that most Israelis are Jewish.

You’re not really dealing with anything even approaching normal politics in the US anymore. There’s a genuine dismantling of democracy going on and a rise of fascism. Debate doesn’t really happen – they just take entrenched views and scream at each other on X or Newsmax, Fox etc etc and this topic is one where they just form views without any nuance, ability to critique and usually have almost zero knowledge of the topic beyond slogans. Many couldn’t find Israel, Gaza or probably Ireland on a map, yet they have impassioned opinions based largely on anti-woke culture war divides rather than anything to do with the reality of the situation. Facts simply don’t matter. They’ve spent the last couple of years basically destroying their own universities for having dissenting opinions on this topic that didn’t just fall into line with the right wing viewpoints. It’s insane, but that’s what you’re dealing with.
The word got out. Same thing happens with social influencers. They’ll get the order to start saying the same thing in unison.
The Bill needs to be strengthened to include services too.
Israel must be made to feel like the absolute pariah it is.
According to some it is an absolutely pointless bill and it doesn’t matter if it passes yet according to the Israelis and Americans it is dangerous and we need to stop.
