An Indian warship is sailing in Finnish territorial waters and is about to enter the Bay of Bothnia, where only Swedish and Finnish warships have been seen uninvited since the Crimean War 1853 – 1856.
At that time the British navy was destroying the grain, tar and shipbuilding industries on the coast. Therefore it is absurd that most of the tar went to the British, they burned their own orders.

Apparently it is a relatively new ship.
Owned by India, but built in Kaliningrad and officially handed over to India about two weeks ago. I don’t see what interests India would have of sailing north in the Bay of Bothnia, but I do see Russia’s interest in it. Hence, I would not be too surprised if it is only Indian on paper and that there are in reality Russians sailing it.
Of course it was built by the Russians, just like the T-90S that ended up in Ukraine anyway.
I myself wonder what they are going to test here in the summer, in the winter there would be ice, but it is not winter.
