      Anyway, you shouldn’t need to think twice about who’s in the wrong here.

      If you follow codes of practice, then you can be pretty confident that you’re obeying the law.

      If you don’t follow codes of practice, then it’s a lot harder to prove that you’re obeying the law.

      The EU doesn’t fuck around when it comes to punitive fines. This could get pricy for Zuckerberg.

      Stun growth….that’s the whole point, to ensure profit is not the only driver for decisions. Profit is good for a small group of already privileged people, the role of government is to protect the interests of the many.

      I mean, that is the whole problem with rampant capitalism.

      If you remove protections and give people privacy rights and such, then yeah, companies can’t earn as much because they can’t exploit people as much.

      There was a statement by JPMorgan how the EU was ‘falling behind’ in terms of profit per citizen, or similar metric, and yeah that is true, but that doesn’t mean progress is stunted.
