In my experience extra time only benefits those that need it

What a surprise: *An Ofqual official said its analysis “has not revealed any evidence of misuse or systemic failure. This has been a technical issue with reporting rather than how the system has been used.”*

What’s meant by access arrangements is also often misrepresented. Yes, it can be extra time, but it can also be loads of other things too. Your exam paper being printed in a larger font or on a different coloured paper is an access arrangement, being in a quiet side room or being allowed to wear earplugs is an access arrangement, having a seat near the door because you have a medical condition that means you may urgently need use the toilet is an access arrangement.

WTF is “extra time” on an exam? You are allotted a period to do the exam then that’s it. If this entity admits fabricating stats in its fundamental job then all the people involved need to resign immediately. In fact, it should be completely disbanded as it has no goodwill and the trust of a Tory MP now.

Sounds like Ofqual need some extra time to get their story straight

      >Bramley said the problems were with “**how the data was recorded and reported**”, including errors and double-counting

Things that you probably want to get right when you are overseeing exams where it’s considered quite important to record and process data correctly!
