This is actually makes perfect sense. If company wants to use lobbyists, to change laws, it should be in good standing with existing laws. Crime now and lobby out of jail later should never work.
Good. Let’s extend it to everybody. Lobbying shouldn’t exist. Lobbyists shouldn’t have direct access to MEPs. Company input should be restricted to the public consultation part of the legislative process.
There´s no need to threaten.

Do it. Money and politics are never a good match.
There should be no lobbying full stop. This isn’t hard.
