Quattro aerei ucraini sono entrati involontariamente nello spazio aereo rumeno per alcuni minuti

Happened on the night of 20/21 July. According to the press release from the Romanian Ministry of Defense:

>As a result of this situation, MApN has informed the structures coordinating civil air traffic for integrated monitoring of the situation. At around 03.30, two Romanian F-16 aircraft took off from the 86th Air Base Borcea for aerial monitoring missions, and at around 05.00, two Italian Air Force Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft, which are on Air Police Combat Service at the 57th Air Base Mihail Kogălniceanu, were ordered to take off.

>During the operations carried out between 03.30-06.00, 12 Ukrainian aerial targets were detected flying in Ukrainian airspace, north of the border with Romania. Four of them unintentionally entered the airspace of our country for a few minutes, in the Sighetu Marmației and Vicovu de Sus areas, without posing any real danger to national security, people’s lives or the Romanian heritage.

>After completing their missions, the Romanian Air Force F-16 aircraft landed at around 06.00 at the Borcea Air Base and the Italian Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft landed at around 07.00 at the Mihail Kogălniceanu Air Base.
