    If the species aren’t endangered yes, but you may need to prove what species they are. China has a big problem with black market animals.

    unless you have proper documentation, they’re going to at least get held.
    since it’s not clear if they’re protected or not, and the customs officers don’t have that expertise, they will have to hold them, and send pictures to the CITES experts at FAVV (AFSCA or FASFC), which will then have to determine the protected status.

    if it then turns out they’re not protected, you’ll get an invite some time later to pick them up at the airport. if they are, expect a fine, and they’ll not be returned to you.
