All becoming rather inevitable now isn’t it. Well hopefully the police will be well prepared and they can continue to get large sentences for those who are arrested and plead guilty like they did last time.

Sounds like a deputy doing the job, so obviously people will be outraged.

Arguably the second most powerful person in the UK behaving like she’s not in power… At what stage do you get to stop ‘calling on others’ and start actually making decisions taking action?

Edit: I did say ‘arguably’. She’s clearly in the top 5 and would be PM if Starmer was incapacitated for some reason.

      >the government must get a grip on this situation now, and they must listen and act quickly to close the hotel. I continue to call on the government to immediately close the Bell Hotel.

Be a win for the protestors at least.

Angela is setting out her stall for her leadership bid, she has been sending a “helpful” memo or two to the Chancellor as well. She has pissed of her Union somewhat so that may dent her leadership bid but she is still keeping on keeping on.

This the same Raynor that wants to tax us into oblivion?

    7. As long as i remember – Good weather and warm nights, thugs will find an excuse to bolster their waning self esteem with riots.

      “Close the hotel”

You do realise lads this hotel isn’t behind immigration?

It’s owners and the government are in a deal to house the migrants in exchange for huge sums of money and this will continue? I’m all for stopping this but it’s not a single hotel nor even immigrant issue. They aren’t using booking.com

    9. Has she forgotten she’s in the government? Reading her words sounded like she was back in opposition.

She’s positioning herself for a leadership challenge, calling it now. Starmer has failed he won’t last that much longer. Wonder if they will go full cons and cycle through a bunch of failures until the next election

Fair warning in case anyone doesn’t understand the root cause of riots in this country, if there are going to be any then this is always the dangerous period of the calendar.

Because on Aug. 15 the Premier League returns and any civil disobedience will end immediately, as usual.

It’s almost as if protesting works when people don’t join the tabloids in demonising them

    15. Macron literally spelt it out to them. No more pull factors. They’re willingly ignorant and incompetent as to how to solve the problem. Putthing these people in HMOs and the private rental sector is only going to make these problems worse.

I don’t think more riots over the state of the UK are coming without another major incident to use as a front for them.

Right wingers only care if it’s outrage over immigration or taking benefits away from the elderly, meanwhile left wingers either aren’t confident enough to riot or the ones who are care more about issues happening in any country other than their own.

You’d think reading a large swathe of comments here that everyone at these demonstrations were looting and attacking the police.

      They were not:
      https://news.sky.com/story/epping-protests-are-just-the-latest-flashpoint-of-frustration-13399441

“But overall, this event on Sunday was peaceful. Residents are simply angry about events that have unfolded here in recent weeks.”

The people who are making all protestors out to be lunatics are deceptively trying to control the narrative.

Have they tried making islamaphobia an illegal term? Surely that will help….

And I’m sure Rayner bless her hasn’t thought of this idea. Which means someone has fed her the thought. Which means Labour are up to something. More in prison for daring to point out the truth?.

    20. coffeewalnut08 on

The only ones talking about riots every hour of every day is the shit-stirring media.

      Hope this helps!

I think the British people have got to the point where if they don’t deport all of the people in the migrant hotels they will not be happy…

    22. barnburner96 on

Giving into the demands of terrorists. That will definitely end well.

Don’t trust Rayner as far as you could throw her .Reform our only chance
