Not all that surprising. Beer wankers don’t go there because everyone knows what James Watt is and there’s hundreds of better bars around, non-beer wankers can buy a pint of Punk IPA in a Spoonies for a lot less.

It’s a shame it’s not all of them. James Watt? His last name is an anagram.

I feel sorry for the staff who will be out of a job at a moment’s notice (I’m guessing they were on zero hour contracts). I stopped even considering going to one once the owner started regurgitating whatever tripe popped into his head. His personality caused the closure of those places.

I feel sorry for the staff, who it sounds like are getting fucked, but then he does seemingly try to fuck anything that moves.

Their beers just arent very good. The best Brewdog bars were the ones that had guest beers on

Two things:
Brewdog isn’t the leader of “craft beers” anymore. They were once, but now the market is flooded.
Their beers are cheaper at Spoons than the actualy bar. The whole point of a brewey bar is the beer is dirt cheap.

as a James Watt (not that one) he brings shame to the name. and im pretty good at that myself.

Feel bad for the workers, don’t feel a thing for the owner

I’ve been to two, one had possibly the slowest service i’d ever seen beyond free bars. The other seemed squarely aimed at the rather small university lecturer market.
Can’t say they’ll be missed.

Brexit has brought “zero benefit” to businesses in the U.K., the boss of a major beer chain lamented Wednesday.

Good.
I don’t care that their original owner has retired, the brand deserves to die or get sold to someone who isn’t a massive twat.
It’s only a shame, because people will be losing jobs and they actually do some top notch higher ABV beers. I just no longer buy them

I don’t rejoice the death of any place that serves the nectar of the gods but fuck do I enjoy the crumbling of anything James Watts related. Punk who doesn’t understand why people don’t love working? Fuck out eh here

I’ve never been back to any of their bars when they pulled the old turning the till back to the patron to add a tip…for pulling a couple of pints. Fuck off with that shit. Taking advantage of pissed up patrons too.

Used to like their beer, but then it kinda changed a bit. However the venue itself was still good to go to because they always had 2-3 guest beers that I liked. I only go once or twice a year though, and the last few times they’d reduced the guests and put more of their own on.
Surprising amount of parents with prams in the York one.

Brewdog were great when they first came on the scene, especially as Nanny State was a decent, cheap alcohol-free beer. They were then quickly surpassed by both the big breweries and smaller companies, then it came out how much of a twat James Watt is. Brewdog basically became just another face in the crowd now and do not have the pulling power they once did.

Most of the brewdog beers taste like spitting image characters of beer. It was nice when it started but I’m so done with them now.
