Solo una buona notizia della natura
Quest’anno, dopo uno sforzo di raccolta fondi inter-contea di 6 anni, l’organizzazione benefica del Gaelic Woodland ha acquistato una fattoria a Mayo e ha piantato 9000 alberi nativi. Tra cinque anni, tutti gli scarichi saranno bloccati e successivamente il sito è riuscito per la complessità ecologica.
Oltre 2.000 persone sono state coinvolte e hanno raccolto € 68.000 per acquistare e piantare il sito. C’era un’enorme quantità di fiducia coinvolta in questo, quindi grazie a tutte le persone che potrei mai incontrare che hanno contribuito a far sì che ciò accada.

This is great news we need more forests that aren’t shitty useless pine tree monocultures
Its terrible what we’ve done to our native woodland and no we can’t just blame the British we’ve had over 100 to start fixing our ecosystems and have done nothing outside of the odd times the greens are in government.
Ide love to see what an old growth irish forest would look like, i know its silly but its one of the few reasons i give myself to keep going to to one day see one.
