CIAO! Mi sono imbattuto in una lapide dalla Danimarca dove cinque fratelli sono morti tragicamente di difterite nel luglio del 1903. I bambini non sono elencati rigorosamente per età o data di morte.
Esiste una ragione culturale o storica per cui la figlia maggiore è prima elencata, poi l’unico figlio, e poi le figlie più giovani in ordine apparentemente non cronologico?
Sono sinceramente curioso e voglio capire se questo riflette tradizioni o norme danesi da quel momento. Grazie in anticipo!

look again, they are listed by age
Eldest first 1888 then 1890, 1897, 1899 and 1901 and they died within days of the same illness
They are listed by age? Oldest at the top, youngest at the bottom.
We don’t have any traditions about which way to list dead children on gravestones.
It is a rather rare occasion to have five siblings to die at once. So not something most people would have experience with, or have any norms about.
But they are listed bye age though? Oldest first, then down to the youngest at the bottom..
